Before you start reading this, make sure you read THIS POST first otherwise this won’t make sense!
End of October the papers were sent in. I knew it would take several months for me to get a reply. The first time you apply it’s quite common to not have to see their Dr. But my pediatrician had told me that when you ask for an extension, there is no such thing as getting approval without a Dr’s visit. Well, I had given the money to charity and I could only hope for the best.
Today I got a letter in the mail saying we were approved for another 2 years! Without a Dr’s visit again! This is truly unusual and I firmly believe that it was in the merit of the charity and psalms recited on our behalf! He is so high functioning, there would be no chance in the world for him to be approved if he would have been seen by the Dr.
Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone who comments and likes and reads! I appreciate you all so much!
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 10,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

I took my time today to visit all your blogs. I really missed some of you and was happy to reconnect. After writing, promoting, taking care of my FB pages (I have more than one), thinking of content there is precious little time left to read. But I know it’s important. If I want you to come to read my stuff, I need to support you as well. And some of you have really interesting content. Thanks to those who keep supporting me even though I’m not always managing to come by your blogs.
Have a great weekend all!
Today is day 30 of NaBloPoMo. I didn’t manage to post every day and was quite slacking in the last week or so. I thought it fitting to end with a prompt from blogHer. How do I celebrate an accomplishment? I think it would depend on the type of accomplishment. I have struggled with my weight since forever. Any time I lost some weight in the past, I had to find something other than food to treat myself. It wasn’t easy since food had been the thing to always make me feel better. It comforted me in time of need and was always here when I needed it. Since that was not allowed I had to think of something else.
I always had a love for books. To get a new book was my greatest treat. Since books are expensive it was not a treat I could afford often. Basically, besides food, I did not usually treat myself. Accomplishments? Don’t have many. I am notorious for starting things and never finishing them. Continue reading What do you like to do to celebrate an accomplishment
I don’t think I can post about random things after hearing about the attacks in Paris. We heard snippets and conflicting reports on Sabbath but since we cannot check the news it’s only tonight that I read and heard about the magnitude of it all.
I went on Facebook. I had friends unfriending their friends because of the things they posted against refugees, against Muslims and people spouting their opinions left and right. I do not participate. I have so much to say but what good will it do? No one listens anyway. Everyone’s opinion depends on where they come from. I’m horrified by the attacks and the losses of life. Any loss of life is tragic (besides the terrorists of course). Continue reading My thoughts on Paris Day 14 #NaBloPoMo
I need to write my daily post but I cannot concentrate. It was an emotional draining last few hours. I have a friend dealing with a child who has emotional issues. I tried helping her find a place to evaluate him. It’s really scary when your child is suffering so much and you don’t know what is eating at him. As hopefully all parents are aware, a child cannot always articulate what’s wrong and it manifests itself in destructive behaviors. I hope we will find him the help he needs and he will grow up a stable and emotionally healthy young man.
Wishing you all a great evening.
